Chicago Demands Hazard Pay for CTA Workers

As infections and deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic mount, local and national officials justify putting transit workers like those at CTA in harm’s way by saying they are “heroes” and “essential workers.” But they refuse to put their money where their mouths are.

ATU Locals 241 and 308 are calling on Congress to ensure funding for hazard pay for CTA and all essential workers.
